Our tour with Eddie was wonderful thanks to his kindness, expertise, and friendliness. The visit to Cat Tien National Park, cycling and hiking through the jungle, was beautiful. If possible, I would recommend at least a two-day tour like he suggested; we didn't have enough time. Highly recommended, thanks Eddie!!

Am besten war die Radtour durch den Nationalpark und die verschiedenen tollen Spots. Die uralten riesigen Bäume waren beeindruckend. Außerdem sahen wir viele verschiedene Tiere (wilde Affen, Krokodile und sogar eine Schlange). Eddie, unser Reiseführer, war bestens vorbereitet, super nett und erklärte uns den gesamten Park. Die Tour war anstrengender als erwartet (das Radfahren und Wandern), aber uns hat es viel Spaß gemacht! Wir würden wieder kommen :)

Highlights

This jungle tour departs from Ho Chi Minh City to Cat Tien National Park, a tropical rainforest in southern Vietnam. With an English-speaking guide, you trek through forest with centuries-old trees and cycle inside the national park. On the way, you stop at Tarai Cocoa Garden to learn how cocoa is grown and processed, and have lunch at a local restaurant. Besides the day tour, there is a 2-day option with an overnight stay at a lodge near the park and a trek to Bau Sau (Crocodile Lake).

Program

Depart from Ho Chi Minh City and explore
the rainforest of Cat Tien National Park

This jungle tour picks you up from your hotel in District 1 and takes you by round-trip vehicle to Cat Tien National Park. With an English-speaking guide, you visit Tarai Cocoa Garden, trek and cycle in the national park, with lunch and bottled water included. The day tour returns to your hotel around 8 PM, while the 2-day tour stays overnight at a lodge near the park. Groups are limited to 13 people.

Learn about cocoa at Tarai Cocoa Garden

On the way from the city to the forest, you visit Tarai Cocoa Garden. Walk through the garden to learn how local cocoa is grown and processed, and enjoy tastings and shopping at your own expense if you wish. Then have lunch at a local restaurant and take a short break.

Walk through a jungle of centuries-old trees

On the day tour, you explore the rainforest of Cat Tien National Park in the afternoon, seeing ancient tung and cedar trees, Ghenh Be Cu and diverse ecosystems. After exploring, you leave for Ho Chi Minh City around 4 PM and arrive at your hotel around 8 PM.

The 2-day option goes deeper to Bau Sau

On the 2-day option, you check in at the lodge after lunch and trek in the afternoon to Bau Sau (Crocodile Lake) deep in the national park. Return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night near the forest.

The next morning, have breakfast at the lodge, then enjoy a morning rainforest trek and a break at Ghenh Be Cu. After lunch and free time, you leave around 2 PM and arrive at your hotel around 7 PM.
