Make a natural soy candle at a Nha Trang spa

This 1.5 to 2-hour candle making class takes place at Oi Nha Trang Spa. You make your own candle in 5 steps, from choosing the scent and vessel to placing the wick, pouring the wax, decorating and packaging. During the roughly 45 minutes while the wax sets, you enjoy an herbal salt foot bath and foot massage, and herbal tea is served during the experience. It is a small-group class of up to 10 people, with instruction in Korean, English, Russian and Vietnamese.

Choose a scent and eco vessel, then pour the wax

First explore 3 signature essential oils and pick your favorite scent, then choose a vessel from a handmade coconut shell, aged bamboo tube or traditional ceramic jar. Place the wooden wick in the center by hand, pour warm melted soy wax into the vessel, then blend in your chosen oil and stir slowly to set the aroma. When lit, the wooden wick crackles like a beach bonfire.

Decorate with local Nha Trang ingredients

As the wax begins to set, decorate the surface with agarwood chips, cinnamon sticks, star anise, rose petals, seashells from Nha Trang Bay and dried flowers. Once it has hardened, trim the wick and pack your candle in an eco-friendly kraft gift box to take home. All materials used are recyclable or biodegradable.

Foot bath and massage while the candle sets

While the candle sets for about 45 minutes, relax at Oi Nha Trang Spa with a 30-minute herbal salt foot bath and foot massage. Fresh herbal tea is also served during the experience.
