at Phu Quoc's first local chocolate factory

Bittersweet Chocolate Factory is the first local chocolate factory in Phu Quoc. After a welcome and an introduction to the history of cacao on the island, tour the cacao garden and factory, then make hot chocolate and chocolates yourself in the workshop. Depending on the option, the experience lasts 60 or 70 minutes and is led by instructors in Vietnamese and English.

Stroll through the cacao garden

Walk through the lush cacao garden and see colorful cacao pods hanging beneath the green leaves. Learn how cacao is grown on the island and how it traveled from South America to Phu Quoc.

See the bean-to-bar process up close

Observe roasting, grinding, tempering and molding at two modern workshops. Follow every step from raw cacao beans to finished chocolate bars and taste various kinds of cacao beans.

Make your own hot chocolate and chocolates

Make and enjoy your own hot chocolate in the roasting workshop, then pour chocolate into fun molds to shape it. After tasting a variety of chocolates, take your creations home with a certificate. The tasting option adds alcoholic drinks such as cacao liqueur.
