Mount Bromo Sunrise or Sunset Jeep Tour from Malang

Ride a jeep in the middle of the night
and greet the sunrise at Penanjakan

On the shared sunrise tour, you'll be picked up by jeep from your hotel in Malang city at 01:00 and arrive at the sunrise spot around 03:30. Arrive early to secure a spot and relax with a warm drink at a local coffee shop, then watch the sun rise over Mount Bromo from the Penanjakan viewpoint between 04:30 and 05:30.

Between 06:00 and 06:45, depending on traffic and group size, you may stop at a second viewpoint on the way down to the crater.

Walk past the Bromo temple up to the crater

From 07:00 to 08:00, you have free time for the Bromo crater trek. Walk past the Bromo temple and hike up the stairs to the rim of the smoking crater. The driver does not accompany you to each spot, so please return to the jeep at the agreed time.

Cross the Sea of Sand and savanna by jeep

From 08:00 to 09:00, ride the jeep across the caldera's Sea of Sand and the Bromo savanna, which turns green in the rainy season and golden in the dry season. You'll leave for Malang around 09:30, and the tour ends around 12:00.

Private day and sunset tours are also available

The panorama day tour departs at 06:30 and the sunset tour departs at noon, both as private options. Both visit one of the Mentigen, Bukit Cinta or King Kong viewpoints depending on visibility that day.
