We had PARDIKA as our guide. He was excellent, very knowledgeable as he gave us a tour of the temple. He explained the ritual really well and gave good instructions making it really easy to follow. He took lots of photos and provided the most beautiful offerings for the ritual. We really enjoyed the whole experience and it gave as a better understanding of Balinese Hindu culture.

at the Tirta Empul holy water temple

Meet your English-speaking guide from the local village at the temple ticket office for a private tour of about 1.5 to 2 hours, including the purification ritual (Melukat) and a temple visit. The temple ticket is included, and only your party takes part.

Learn the history and rules of the ritual

Starting from the ticket office, take a gentle walk through the forecourt of the temple, known for its holy water and calm atmosphere. Your guide explains the history and spiritual philosophy of the ritual, along with its rules and prohibitions.

Put on traditional attire and purify yourself

Before entering the temple, your guide helps you put on traditional attire and learn temple etiquette. You then take part in the ritual of purifying body and mind with the sacred spring water, with step-by-step support. Your guide also helps take photos and videos with your own smartphone.

Explore the main shrines of the temple
