Onze gids Made Sucita heeft een fantastische dag verzorgd. We werden om 8:00 uur opgehaald bij ons hotel. Als eerste gingen we naar de Tegenungan Waterfall. Hier heeft Made veel mooie foto’s van ons gemaakt. Hij was niet alleen de driver, maar ook de persoonlijke fotograaf. Daarna gingen we naar Goa Gajah. Hier heeft Made ons uitleg gegeven over de geschiedenis. Daarna gingen we naar Satria Coffee Plantation. Made heeft ons afgezet bij Warung de Koi voor lunch. Hier kun je leuk zitten en lekker eten. Vervolgens gingen we naar Tirta Empul Temple. Ook hier kregen wij weer informatie van Made. De laatste stop was Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Hier konden we zelf vrij rondlopen. Made staat overal voor je klaar en geeft je ruim de tijd. Als laatste vroegen we of we nog even konden stoppen bij een supermarkt voor iets kleins mee te nemen naar ons hotel, ook dit was geen probleem. Super geslaagde dag en ik zou Made zeker aanbevelen!

My guide Gede Susila was amazing. He was very attentive to my needs and explained the history and relevant information very well at each stop. What I liked most were the rice fields and the Tirka Temple. Totally recommended!

Agung was our driver he speak good English, was friendly, knew the roads well and explained everything where he could. Highly recommended if you want to spend a day seeing all the main tourist sites in Bali.

Wonderful excursion. Pande was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Loved his passion for sharing information about his Balinese culture. We were on a tight deadline for finish time and Pande was flexible with the order and timings to make sure we got back when we needed to. Highly recommended

Highlights

on a private tour

Pickup from your accommodation is at 8:00 AM in an air-conditioned vehicle, and you return around 4:00 PM, for a tour of about 8 hours. The vehicle is for your group only, and a dedicated English-speaking driver-guide takes you to Tegenungan Waterfall, the woodcarving village of Kemenuh, Goa Gajah, Tirta Empul and the Tegallalang rice terraces.

Feel the cool spray at Tegenungan Waterfall

The first stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery. Feel the spray up close, take photos and swim if you like.

Discover Balinese woodcarving in Kemenuh

Arrive in Kemenuh village around 10:30 AM to meet woodcarvers. Watch them create Hindu-influenced designs from woods such as ebony, hibiscus and teak, and learn about their techniques.

Visit Goa Gajah and Tirta Empul Temple

At Goa Gajah, known as the Elephant Cave, see the cave carved into the cliff, the Boma carving at its entrance, the Hindu temple and surrounding relics. After a lunch break around noon (meal not included), head to Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring to experience its sacred atmosphere and traditional Balinese architecture.

Walk among the Tegallalang rice terraces

Finally, visit the rice terraces of Tegallalang village and admire the fields framed by coconut trees. Take a walk around the terraces if you like before returning to your accommodation.
