Bali Lovina Sunrise Dolphin Swim and Coral Reef Snorkeling Boat Tour

This boat tour departs from a base camp on Lovina Beach. You watch wild dolphins around sunrise, then enjoy a boat-assisted swim and coral reef snorkeling. The program in Lovina takes about 4 hours, and with hotel pickup options there is about 2 hours of driving each way, for a total of about 3 to 10 hours.

Depending on the option, you can meet in Lovina, depart from a pickup point near Ubud Art Market, or be picked up from hotels in North, Central, South, East or West Bali, and ride a shared group boat or a private boat for your party only. Guiding is in English and Indonesian, and a French-speaking guide option is also available.

Coffee at the base camp,
then board a traditional boat

Start the morning at a comfortable base camp with Balinese coffee or tea and local snacks. Luggage and backpacks can be stored at the base camp, which has toilets and showers. After a short safety briefing from an experienced local captain, you head out to sea on a traditional boat.

on the sunrise sea

As the sun rises, you cruise across the calm waters off Lovina to look for wild dolphins in their natural habitat. The captain keeps a proper distance and follows responsible wildlife-watching practices. Dolphins are wild animals, so every tour is different.

When sea conditions allow, you hold a floating bar attached to the boat and swim with the boat's help to see the dolphins underwater. This activity is designed to minimize disturbance to the animals and is always supervised by the captain.

After the dolphin experience, you move to a nearby coral reef area and snorkel with the equipment provided, spotting colorful tropical fish and coral formations before returning to shore. A breakfast box (sandwich and fruit, or fried rice/noodles on request) is available as an add-on option.
