Enjoy Bali's iconic GWK statue
and traditional performances

Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is one of Bali's most famous cultural landmarks. Its centerpiece, the 121-meter GWK statue, was conceived by sculptor I Nyoman Nuarta in 1989, begun in 1997 and completed in 2018 with 754 modules. Stroll through the vast park, take in the scenery, and watch traditional performances throughout the day and the Kecak dance at sunset. Most visitors spend about 2–3 hours here.

Meet the 121-meter GWK statue

The statue of Lord Vishnu riding the mythical Garuda towers over the park. With the Ultimate Package, a guide takes you up to the 9th and 23rd floors of the statue to learn its history and look out over the surroundings.

Balinese performances all day

Traditional Balinese dances are performed hourly at the Amphitheater from 11:00 to 15:00, followed by a cultural parade at Plaza Wisnu at 16:00 and Joged Bumbung at the Lotus Pond at 17:00. The family animation "Petualangan Garuda Cilik" is also screened.

Kecak at sunset and the evening BarAong show

At 18:00, watch the fiery Kecak dance. The BarAong show ticket lets you see a Balinese mythology performance of dance, music and visuals at the Amphitheater, 18:00–18:30, Wednesday to Saturday.
