This is an evening tour of about 3 hours that takes you away from the lights of Levi village after sunset to look for the northern lights under the dark Lapland sky. A local driver-guide takes you to good viewing spots based on the clouds, weather and aurora activity on the day. Enjoy the quiet Arctic night among snowy forests and frozen winter landscapes, and get help photographing the aurora with your phone or camera. You can choose between a small group of up to 8 people or a minibus tour of up to 16 people.
Meet your driver-guide at the Visit Levi parking lot and board the vehicle. Travel for about 30 minutes to an area free from light pollution. The route is adjusted to the clouds, weather and aurora activity that evening.
Stop at good spots for viewing the Arctic sky and look for the northern lights for about 2 hours. When conditions are favorable, you stop briefly to watch and photograph the aurora. You can also enjoy the snowy forests, frozen landscapes and the quiet atmosphere of Lapland after dark.
Your guide helps you photograph the aurora with your phone or camera. When possible, you also receive digital photos taken by the guide. A light snack is provided, and after the tour you travel about 30 minutes back to the starting point.
※ The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
※ The route and viewing spots may change depending on the weather and aurora conditions on the day.
