Head out by longtail boat
to snorkel the islands near Lipe

After checking in at the Wichittour counter on Walking Street, Koh Lipe, you set off by longtail boat. The captain also acts as your tour guide, taking you to the islands and snorkeling spots around Lipe. If you can't swim, the captain will look after you and guide you in the water. This is a snorkeling-focused tour rather than a sightseeing tour with commentary.

See the seven-colored coral of Jabang and Koh Hin Ngam

The first stop is Jabang, famous for its seven-colored coral. You can see underwater rocks home to soft coral, sea anemones and colorful fish, and at about 15 to 20 feet (about 4.5 to 6 m) deep it is ideal for snorkeling. Dive down to see the seven-colored coral up close.

Next, stop at Koh Hin Ngam, where instead of sand the beach is covered in round grey-black stones of similar size. When the waves roll in, the wet stones sparkle and the whole beach shines. There is a national park checkpoint here, so you need to show your national park ticket. At the snorkeling spot behind the island, you can clearly see corals such as brain coral and fire coral and clownfish in shallow water.

Snorkel the coral gardens of Koh Yang and relax on Koh Rawi

The waters around Koh Yang, north of Koh Hin Ngam, are covered in hard corals such as staghorn, lettuce and table corals, making it great for snorkeling. Lunch is on Koh Rawi, with white sand and clear water. After eating, stroll along the beach for photos or swim and relax.

Look for diverse corals and sea life at Koh Adang

At the final stop, Koh Adang, you can see sea anemones along with many corals such as staghorn, brain, great star and orange cup corals. You may also spot at least two kinds of clownfish, clams, blue starfish and lionfish.
