Meet the history and technology of cars
at the Shanghai Auto Museum

A core landmark of Shanghai International Automobile City, the museum brings together automotive history, technology and culture. Its architecture, with large glass walls and open through-spaces, is a sight in itself.

Opening hours: 09:00-16:30 (from 09:30 Thursday to Saturday).

History Hall on the 1st floor

Follow the development of the world's automobiles through 8 themed exhibition areas. Classic models from more than 20 brands, such as the Benz Model 1 and Ford Model T, recreate key moments in automotive history.

Classic cars in the 2nd-floor Collection Hall

Nearly 40 vintage cars from the 1900s to the 1970s are on display, including famous models such as the Rolls-Royce "Ghost" and Benz 300D.

3rd-floor Exploration Hall and rooftop garden

A popular science area for young visitors with disassembled car parts and driving simulators. You can also relax in the rooftop garden and car-themed leisure area.
