This is a private tour of the Amsterdam Light Festival, which fills Amsterdam's canals with light artworks every winter, on a classic canal boat reserved just for your group. In a cozier setting than the shared cruises, an experienced captain steers a custom route and shows you the artworks installed on and along the canals up close. Onboard heating and thick blankets keep you warm as you enjoy the festival on a cold winter night. The 2026 festival runs from November 26, 2026 to January 17, 2027.
The Amsterdam Light Festival places light artworks along the canals every winter, and the best way to see them is from the water. On this private tour your group has a classic canal boat to itself, and the captain steers a custom route for about 1 hour 15 minutes, guiding you past the festival artworks.
The tour runs on the classic salon boat Delphine, which takes 2 to 10 people. Onboard heating and thick blankets let you enjoy the canal views without worrying about the winter cold.
The 15th edition runs from November 26, 2026 to January 17, 2027, with about 20 light artworks by local and international artists installed on and around the canals along a brand-new route. The artworks are lit daily from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm (until 9:00 pm on December 31).
