The visit takes about 3 hours. There is no guide with you; you follow the audio commentary and a digital map.

Castel Sant'Elmo is a star-shaped castle built in the 1200s. It was uniquely built from volcanic rock and served as a military outpost on a strategic spot at the top of Naples.
