You are picked up from your accommodation in Abisko and travel by minivan, and the guide chooses the route based on the weather, light, accessibility and recent wildlife activity.

The tour lasts about 3 hours.

Visit 1 to 4 places that suit the day

The guide picks 1 to 4 places, such as frozen waterfalls, hidden ice formations, viewpoints or areas with recent wildlife activity. Some days you see several places, and on others you spend more time hiking to one or two special spots.

Walking distances vary, with hikes of up to 2 to 4 km possible.

Follow the signs of Arctic wildlife

Look for wildlife living around Abisko, such as reindeer, moose, eagles and owls. The guide chooses the areas with the best chance based on local knowledge, tracks and recent sightings, but sightings are not guaranteed.

You also learn how to recognise animal footprints and signs, and hear about the area's unique landscape, plants and animals.

Stop at scenic spots during the tour to enjoy cookies and a hot drink.

The guide photographs the landscapes and wildlife, and can take photos of you and your group if you like. Edited photos are sent to you after the tour.
