At Hanboknam Gyeongbokgung branch, a 1-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Station, you rent a hanbok and explore the Gyeongbokgung area in it. The store has more than 1,000 hanboks, in sizes from children to adult XXL.

You can choose a rental time of 2 hours or 4 hours. Hanbok rental, hair styling, an underskirt and a locker are included.

Choose from more than 1,000 hanboks

In the store you can ask the staff which hanbok suits you and how to wear it. The time you spend choosing and putting on your hanbok is not counted in the rental time.

The store is busiest from 9 AM to 12 PM, so if you want to take your time choosing, it helps to avoid those hours.

Pick basic hanbok or theme hanbok

Basic hanbok has a simple yet colorful design and is the closest to traditional hanbok. With theme hanbok you can choose a queen, king or scholar outfit and dress like a character from a Korean drama.

Sizes range from XS to XXL, and children's hanbok can be rented from age 1.

Get your hair styled and head to Gyeongbokgung

After putting on your hanbok you can have your hair styled. Use of the underskirt and locker and storage for large suitcases are free of charge. Extra accessories can be added for a fee.

Entry to Gyeongbokgung is free when you wear a hanbok. Please check the palace opening hours before your visit.
