In this leather craft class at the BAUMERO studio in Seocho-gu, Seoul, you make a shoulder bag, passport wallet, or belt yourself with a working leather designer. All leather, thread, and tools are provided, and you get step-by-step guidance in English and Korean. There is no fixed group schedule, so you work at your own pace and take your finished piece home.

Build a shoulder bag from scratch at the workbench

You choose a design and make it from start to finish with your designer. You sand and paint the edges, then hand-stitch each part using the saddle stitch. No leather experience is needed, and experienced makers are welcome too. A bag usually takes a full day.

Make a passport wallet yourself

Small accessories such as a passport wallet take about half a day. As you make it, you learn how bags and wallets are built and what sets well-made leather goods apart. Some designs cost more than the option you booked, and the difference is paid at the studio.

Finish a belt at your own pace

A belt is made step by step in the same way. While you work, you can enjoy a cup of freshly roasted coffee, tea, or Korean traditional liquor. If you cannot finish in one day, you can return on another day at no extra cost to complete it.
