In about 1 hour 30 minutes at Proust, a perfume atelier in a traditional Korean hanok in Hyehwa-dong, Seoul, you make your own 10ml perfume and 50g hand cream. A perfumer who guides in English and Korean is with you, and no previous experience is needed.

Find your own scent in the hanok atelier

The experience starts with finding your own scent. A perfumer selects fragrance materials from more than 400 options based on your taste, mood and the kind of scent you want to make. After smelling and comparing different scents, you choose the ones you like and create your own perfume formula with expert guidance.

Measure and blend your own perfume

Once the scent is decided, you measure and blend the fragrance materials yourself to make a 10ml personal perfume. Unlike a simple workshop that only assembles ready-made cosmetics, you measure and mix the ingredients yourself and see how cosmetics are made.

Turn the same scent into a hand cream

Using the same perfume formula, you make a 50g scented hand cream. The hand cream is based on a plant-oil formula with quality ingredients such as jojoba oil and shea butter, designed to feel comfortable on many skin types so the scent you created stays at the center. At the end, you take home both the 10ml perfume and the 50g hand cream with the same scent.
