This is a small-group shopping tour of about 2 hours through the flea market and vintage shops around Dongmyo with a guide who has 15 years of experience in the apparel industry. You first learn how to judge quality, then pick items yourself at the market, and finish with a mini lookbook photo shoot in the old alleys of Dongmyo. The guide speaks English, Chinese and Japanese, and groups are limited to 5 people.

Meet your guide at Exit 3 of Dongmyo Station and take a short crash course. Learn how to read care labels that show fiber content and country of origin, how stitching and seams reveal quality, and how to tell fabrics that last from those that do not. You can also tell your guide which styles and items you are looking for.

Hunt for vintage items at Dongmyo Flea Market

At Dongmyo Flea Market, one of the largest second-hand markets in Seoul, browse piles of vintage clothing with your guide. For each item you like, you get an on-the-spot analysis of the fabric, fit, construction and a fair price.

You also learn how to bargain politely like a local.

Get styling tips and shoot a lookbook in the Dongmyo alleys

Review the items you picked together and get styling suggestions. Then pose in the old alleys of Dongmyo for a mini lookbook photo shoot. Your guide, a photographer with more than 15 years of experience, takes the photos and sends them to you after the tour.
