Learn the basics of traditional Thai fruit and vegetable carving with Master Carver Wan Hertz of Siam Carving Academy. In a private penthouse studio overlooking Bangkok, create everything from delicate garnishes to flowers and fish. Choose a 6-hour full-day class or a 3-hour half-day class, with up to 6 people per class.

Learn step by step from a master carver

Your instructor guides you through each technique as you practice. Follow step-by-step instructions from simple shapes to more complex designs while carving a variety of fruits and vegetables. You will also learn to make garnishes that brighten up dishes for special occasions or everyday meals.

Discover Thai culture and take home a carving knife

Learn about the history of carving, a traditional Thai craft passed down through generations, and its role in Thai culture and ceremonies. At the end of the class, receive a handcrafted Thai carving knife as a souvenir so you can keep practicing at home. Snacks and drinks are served during the class.
