Thanks to joiniing the tour we were able to try a lot of street food and experience atmosphere of the market. If you are just arriving in Korea that is something really recommended to do and not that easy to do without a local. Alongside eating we had really nice chat about local history, korean customs and daily life.

We really enjoyed this tour. We tried lots of different delicious Korean foods. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I expected it to be purely about the food but he gave us lots of information about Korea and the areas surrounding the markets, including some historical information. We would recommend booking this tour.

Taste street food while walking
Gwangjang and Dongdaemun Markets

This small group tour takes you through two of Seoul’s best-known markets, Gwangjang Market and Dongdaemun Market, for two hours with an English-speaking guide. You meet at Exit 9 of Dongdaemun Station and visit famous stalls and spots the guide recommends.

Food is included in the tour price, and the group is limited to 8 participants.

Choose and enjoy street food with your guide

It is hard to pick a good stall in a crowded market. Your guide explains each dish and what goes into it, so you can taste with confidence.

Hear the stories behind the markets

While you eat, you learn about the long history of the markets and a figure who devoted himself to them. You also see how the markets keep changing and how today’s food connects with the past.

You also chat about Korean customs and daily life to understand Korean food better.
