Kusasenri Observatory
and the Mt. Aso crater
Depart at 8:00 from in front of Lawson near Hakata Station and arrive at Kusasenri Observatory after about 2.5 hours. Enjoy the grassland view for 40 minutes, then drive 10 minutes to the Mt. Aso crater and watch sulfur smoke rise for 30 minutes. Return to Kusasenri for a 30-minute lunch at a restaurant of your choice (lunch not included).
One Piece Chopper statue and Suizenji Jojuen
Around 13:40, reach the Tony Tony Chopper statue from One Piece and take photos for 20 minutes. Then stroll the traditional Japanese garden Suizenji Jojuen for 40 minutes (admission extra, about 500 yen per person).
Explore Kumamoto Castle for 90 minutes
Around 15:10, arrive at Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's most impressive castles, and explore for about 90 minutes. Main keep admission (about 800 yen per person) is extra, and with limited time a detailed tour of the keep interior is not recommended. Depart at 16:40 and arrive at the meeting point in Hakata around 18:40.
※ There is no guide commentary inside the sights. Depending on group size, the driver doubles as guide or a Chinese/English guide accompanies the group.
