Activité un peu physique mais très sympathique, explication sur les mangroves /la faune /la flore d’Ishigaki. Tayoki est très patient et donne beaucoup de bons conseils. Je recommande !

Sota was an awesome guide, super friendly and knowledgeable! He was great! The tour was shorter than we were expecting for how expensive it was, also they didn’t have enough paddles for everyone at first so we had to wait for more paddles to be brought to the site. I would have expected there to be enough for the group plus some spares just in case!

What a wonderful Tour with Makoto! The canoe trip through the mangroves was absolutely beautiful. We saw many flying fish and other interesting animals. Makoto explained also so many interesting things about the mangroves

Our guide Akari was enthusiastic and supportive during our mangrove canoeing experience. She was able to reassure and encourage us as beginners to canoeing and was also informative on the places we came across. Her command of English is excellent too. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. We were grateful to receive photos and recorded video clips of our experience. Highly recommend this tour with Akari.

Explore the mangrove forest of the Miyara River on Ishigaki Island by SUP or canoe, then take a round-trip ferry to Taketomi Island for free sightseeing. Paddling on the calm river without engines, you can see the mangroves and small wildlife such as birds and crabs up close. On Taketomi Island, stroll the traditional village lined with red-tiled houses and stone walls or relax on the beach to get a feel for the old Ryukyu way of life. You can choose your return ferry time freely.

Taketomi Island sightseeing in one day

Meet your guide at Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal and drive about 15 minutes to the Miyara River for SUP or canoeing. After the activity, return to Ishigaki Port and take the round-trip ferry to Taketomi Island. Spend your time freely on the island and return to Ishigaki Island whenever you like.

Paddle along the Miyara River by SUP or canoe

On arrival, you do the course you booked, either stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or canoeing. After a short safety briefing and basic instruction, glide slowly along the mangrove forest for about 1 hour 30 minutes. You may spot small wildlife such as birds and crabs on the riverbanks, and both beginners and experienced paddlers can enjoy it at their own pace.

Explore the traditional village of Taketomi Island freely

On Taketomi Island, walk the traditional streets lined with red-tiled houses and stone walls, rent a bicycle to explore the island, or relax on a beach with clear, shallow water. With your ferry ticket, you can return to Ishigaki Island at any time.

※ For safety, all participants must wear a life jacket.
※ The tour runs even in drizzle, but may be canceled if weather conditions are unsafe.
