I had such a great morning doing stand-up paddleboarding at Kabira Bay! Yuki was absolutely lovely — super friendly, welcoming, and really helpful throughout the whole activity. He gave us great advice during the session and also shared some really good recommendations for places to eat and things to do around Ishigaki Thank you for such a great morning! 😊

È stata un’esperienza bellissima! Avevo inizialmente prenotato il tour in SUP a Kabira Bay, ma a causa del vento non è stato possibile farlo lì. Mi hanno contattata immediatamente per offrirmi un’alternativa, sono molto contenta di aver accettato😊 Ryoma, la guida del tour, è stato molto competente e attento a tutte le esigenze. Diverso da come me lo aspettavo, ma altrettanto emozionante!!!

Well due to wave conditions. I went on the Miyara River SUP experience and it was amazing. So much fun and a great new experience. Our guide Makoto was amazing. She was funny, fun, smart, knowledgeable and very kind. So helpful and me feel very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this experience and would do it again myself.

The weather made it impossible to do any water activities, which is a risk in typhoon season. i appreciate that the guides put safety first and cancelled the trip. I went to Kabira bay and back, by bus, with a 1000Yen daily bus pass. It is a pretty location and better for being almost devoid of others. wave height had cancelled all glass bottom boats.

This experience of about 2 hours takes you across Kabira Bay, one of Ishigaki Island's signature sights awarded 3 stars by the Michelin Green Guide Japan, by stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or canoe. During about 1 hour of paddling, you can see the sea shift between blue and green in the sunlight and spot coral and tropical fish up close. A 15-minute safety briefing before departure means first-timers can join, and you also receive photo data taken by your guide with a waterproof camera.

Meet at Ishigaki Port
and head to Kabira Bay

Meet your guide and check in at Euglena Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal, then travel about 30 minutes by car to Kabira Bay. Kabira Bay is famous for its crystal-clear emerald water, white sand and lush green islets.

Set off after a 15-minute safety briefing

On arrival, an experienced guide spends 15 minutes explaining safety rules, basic paddling, and how to balance and steer on a SUP or canoe. The briefing matches your level, so beginners and experienced paddlers alike can set off with confidence. Life jackets and all safety equipment are provided.

Paddle the emerald bay for 1 hour

Enjoy about 1 hour of paddling across the bay at your own pace. Through the clear water you can see coral, tropical fish and other marine life. Your guide keeps you safe, shares hidden spots and local stories, and takes photos with a waterproof camera. After the experience, you return to the terminal by car.
