About the Château de Beauvicomte
Beauvicomte Castle, whose overall design was designed by French architect Louis Le Vau (1612-1670), known for its classical style, is a luxurious building with an impressive huge dome in the center, and is a place of opulence comparable to that of Versailles.
gorgeous interior
The interior was beautifully decorated with colored murals, gilding, sculptures, and ceiling paintings by Charles Le Brun (1619-1690), a famous painter and artist of the time. The reason it was built so extravagantly was because Nicolas Fouquet wanted it to be as extravagant as possible. But the sad legend is that because of this, he was heavily criticized by the royal palace, imprisoned, and even had his property confiscated.
geometric garden
The garden of the Château de Vaux-Vicomte was created by landscape expert André Le Nôtre (1613-1700). The garden surrounding the castle is especially famous for its geometric shapes and is considered the best garden in the Île-de-France region.
