An experience that can only be experienced in Korea,
DMZ tour
Introducing a DMZ tour that can only be experienced in Korea, the only divided country left in the world.
The DMZ is a special travel destination where never-ending war luck and hope for peace coexist. See with your own eyes Korea's heartbreaking history of war and division and walk through the site with commentary from a DMZ expert tour guide.
This tour will be a time to look at the traces of the fight for peace and unification and experience firsthand the desire for unity. How about taking a half-day tour by car departing from Seoul and visiting major attractions in the DMZ that are usually difficult to visit?
With a heart waiting for unification
Imjingak Peace Nuri Park
Imjingak is a space created with the hope for reconciliation and unification between North and South Korea. As Korea's representative peace tourist destination, a train that ran to the northern tip of the Korean Peninsula before North and South Korea was divided into two is on display here. Since it is one of the areas in South Korea closest to North Korea, separated families miss their separated families during holidays and anniversaries. It is also a place where North Korean defectors visit to soothe their longing.
Imjingak, where you can still feel the vivid pain of war as there are various war memorials and war relics, including the American military monument, has been transformed into a complex tourist facility with exhibition halls related to the Korean War, amusement facilities, and a peace gondola. It is a representative attraction of the Demilitarized Zone tour, with the meaning of adding a wish for peace on top of pain.
The Korean War is not over yet
In this tour, you can experience the course of walking into the 3rd Tunnel to a depth of 265m. This is actually a tunnel dug by North Korea to carry out a surprise operation to infiltrate South Korea. You can get an idea of the cold inter-Korean relations by seeing it in person and feeling the temperature and humidity of the tunnel. It feels even more threatening because it is said to have been built on a scale that can move 30,000 troops per hour.
Don't worry, we are currently installing three concrete walls in the direction of North Korea to block it from being used as a route for invading the South!
Brothers from far away, seeing them with my own eyes
Near the 3rd Tunnel is the Dorasan Observatory. Dorasan Observatory has the title of Unification Security Tourist Site located at the northernmost point of the Military Demarcation Line on the Western Front.
Dozens of telescopes are installed at this observatory where you can see North Korea's Kaesong City and Songaksan Mountain. Even the Kaesong Industrial Complex and the statue of Kim Il-sung, which are familiar to us, are clearly visible, so it's an experience to witness with your own eyes a side of North Korea that you've only seen in the media. This will be it.
