Tour the DMZ from Seoul
and hear a defector's story

This is a roughly 7-hour tour of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) area, about 1 hour by bus from Seoul. You visit Imjingak, the North Korea Experience Hall, the Third Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and Tongilchon Village in a single day, and meet a North Korean defector at the experience hall.
Depending on your option, the tour starts with hotel pickup or from Hongik Univ. Station, City Hall Station, or Myeongdong Station.

Meet a defector at the North Korea Experience Hall

At the North Korea Experience Hall you watch a 10-minute video about defectors and take part in an interview session with a defector. You hear a personal perspective on life in North Korea, the journey to settle in the South, and the history of the Korean Peninsula.

See the site of division at Imjingak

Take a guided tour of Imjingak for about 1 hour, seeing places such as Mangbaedan Altar and the Bridge of Freedom while learning about the history of the Korean division.

Visit the Third Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and Tongilchon

Enter the Third Tunnel, which North Korea dug with the aim of invading the South, and explore it for about 1 hour. Then spend about 50 minutes at Dora Observatory looking toward North Korea, stop at Tongilchon Village for about 15 minutes, and return to Seoul by bus.
