Wat Umong Temple, built in 1371, is located in the forest and creates a quiet atmosphere. However, in the late 15th century, when the temple was closed and looted, it is also a place with a painful history, with Buddhist statues damaged and scattered here and there. The moment you visit this place, you will know why it is called the ‘Hidden Temple’.

Tunnel Temple, Wat Umong

It was built during the Lanna Dynasty in the 13th century and is a unique cave temple in Chiang Mai. The inside of the temple has a large lake and a walking path, making it a place loved by locals. Golden Temple, Doi Suthep

There is a legend that Doi Suthep was built on the site where a white elephant cried three times and died while visiting the temple site to collect the ashes of Buddha brought by a Sukhothai monk. This temple represents northern Thailand and is always visited by many tourists. Every summer, a festival is held to commemorate the birth of Buddha.
