Chiang Mai's Grandma Home Cooking Class is more than just a cooking class. It offers a special experience where you can feel and learn the warm touch and care of a Thai grandmother. Learn real Thai cuisine with traditional recipes left by the founder's grandmother, Rabiiab.

The class is conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere, as if family members have gathered after a long time. You will naturally learn the basics of Thai cuisine by participating directly in everything from preparing ingredients to cooking. You can learn not only representative dishes such as Tom Yum and Green Curry, but also Northern Thai dishes that are usually hard to come by. Cook together, share food, and experience Thai daily life and culture with your whole body!

Good food starts with good ingredients

The class starts with visiting a local market and touring an organic farm to select ingredients. You can learn about Thai food culture naturally by listening to the stories behind each ingredient and harvesting vegetables from the garden. Everything from short conversations with market vendors to the scenery of the farm filled with the smell of soil will be a valuable experience.

Morning Class

• Hotel arrival: 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Afternoon Class

• Make 3 Thai traditional dishes Check the menu
• Mango Sticky Rice dessert provided
• Market visit & Farm tour
• Class time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Total 4 hours)
• Hotel arrival: 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Evening Class

• Make 4 Thai traditional dishes Check the menu
• Farm tour (Market visit not included)
• Class time: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Total 4 hours)
• Hotel arrival: 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Full Day Class

• Make 7 Thai traditional dishes Check the menu
• Additional experience: Making coconut milk with traditional tools
• Market visit and farm tour
• Class time: 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM (Total 6 hours 30 minutes)
• Hotel arrival: 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM

• Make 7 traditional Northern Thai dishes Check the menu
• Additional experience: Traditional charcoal lighting, vegetable washing, making flour using a traditional millstone, traditional coconut milk making
• Market visit and farm tour
• Class time: 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM (Total 6 hours 30 minutes)
• Hotel arrival: 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM
