Saint-Denis Cathedral

Saint-Denis Cathedral, located in northern Paris, is a cathedral that honors Saint Dionysius, the first bishop of France, as its patron saint, and is also famous for being the first Gothic building in history. It is now a royal cemetery where past kings and queens of France are buried.

At Saint-Denis Cathedral, 43 French kings and 32 queens are buried here, and the tombs of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette d'Autriche are also located here.

Amazing inside look

Saint-Denis Cathedral had its windows shaped like long arches to allow more light into the interior, and stained glass was added on top to let in a mysterious light. This is because I thought of God as light, and even now, it is truly amazing.
