Explore the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, a Catholic holy site

Fátima is known for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary, said to have occurred monthly from May to October 1917 before three shepherd children. At the sanctuary, one of the major shrines of the Catholic faith, you can see the tombs of the young shepherd children, the crown of the Virgin in the Chapel of the Apparitions, and a segment of the Berlin Wall. You spend about 1 hour 30 minutes here, including a guided tour and free time.

Take in panoramic Atlantic views in Nazaré

The fishing town of Nazaré is popular with surfers and famous for Garrett McNamara's record-setting ride on a 79-foot wave. Visit Nazaré Lighthouse, North Beach and the Chapel of the Miracle's Memory while enjoying open views of the Atlantic. During free time, you can have lunch with Portuguese food at a local restaurant away from the tourist crowds (at your own expense).

Walk the medieval walled town of Óbidos

Óbidos was taken from the Muslims in 1148 and later served as part of the dowry of many Portuguese queens. Wander the cobbled streets and flower-adorned houses inside the old walls, and taste Ginja de Óbidos, a cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup. You spend about 1 hour 30 minutes here, including a guided tour and free time.
