Six Spots in Small Worlds Tokyo

1. Space Center:
Emerging from the Gulliver Tunnel, you'll find yourself in the heart of the 1960s NASA Space Center. The Apollo program for the moon landing is in full swing, and you can watch the launch of the Saturn V rocket from the control tower. The engine noise and the rocket's liftoff are incredibly realistic. Besides the Space Center, you can also explore a futuristic space station. Many more miniature recreations, including a space airport, are planned for the future!
2. Imaginary Town and Industrial Revolution:
Discover an imaginary town with architecture inspired by Western and Asian styles. Various fantasy elements, such as the medieval-inspired heroic fantasy genre and the steampunk trend prevalent during the Industrial Revolution, are also part of this park. You can explore mountains and waterfront villages inhabited by imaginary creatures like dragons and winged horses, as well as realistic figures like coal miners.
3. Sailor Moon:
The Sailor Moon area, themed after the popular Japanese manga 'Sailor Moon,' depicts the upscale neighborhood of Azabu-juban, located near Tokyo Tower in the southern part of central Tokyo. Even if you're not familiar with the manga or series, you can still enjoy it as it represents a typical residential area of Tokyo. It's fun to spot the signs, advertising lights, and green spaces dedicated to temples and shrines! Find the Sailor Moon characters hidden in the intricately decorated miniature Azabu-juban!
4. KIX, Kansai Airport:
The model scale of KIX Kansai International Airport, located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, perfectly recreates the scenery and atmosphere of a Japanese airport! The sound effects of planes taking off and landing, as well as detailed spaces such as Terminal 1, boarding gates, airport runways, and baggage claim areas, are meticulously represented. The sight of passengers waiting with their luggage and airport service technicians working on Japanese Airlines planes is realistically portrayed. You can vividly experience the bustling airport.
5. Evangelion:
The last two worlds of Small Worlds Tokyo are themed after the 1990s Japanese cult animation series 'Evangelion.' The first model scale recreates the fortress city of Tokyo-3, a fictional new capital of Japan located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, in the mountains of Kanagawa Prefecture. If you are a fan of Hideaki Anno's work, you can see the city's skyscrapers moving and retreating underground to protect it from the Angel's attacks. The end of this area concludes with a space dedicated to the humanoid life form EVA, hidden in the NERV underground headquarters. EVA is the guardian of Tokyo-3 and is sent to the surface when threats occur!
