Sunshine City is the tallest building in Ikebukuro and is said to have been the tallest building at the time of its completion. The upper floors are lined with various commercial facilities, including an observatory. It is Japan's first complex urban facility with an aquarium, theme park, planetarium, theater, leisure facilities, convention hall, shopping mall, event venue, and even a mansion.
Sunshine City Aquarium is popular for its rare fish and aquatic and terrestrial animals, and has the title of Japan's first rooftop aquarium. It's not far away, so I recommend traveling lightly for dates, friends, or family trips.
