1. Hirayu Hot Springs
Hirayu Onsen, a mountain village full of open-air hot springs and various hot springs, is a great place to stop by if you are sightseeing in the Okuhida area. Stop by Hirayu and relax in the warm hot springs.
2. Fukuji Onsen
Fukuji Onsen is located inside Okuhida and is the smallest of the five hot spring villages. The scenery here boasts uniform streets and beautiful scenery, and there are 11 lodgings lined up. There are many accommodations with a cozy atmosphere, so you can relax comfortably and quietly. Within the hot spring area, there is a morning market where you can purchase local vegetables and processed products, and there is also a foot bath facility for guests to use.
3. Okuhida Bear Ranch
This is a ranch where about 100 bears, including Tsukinowa bears and brown bears, live. You can hug the baby bear and take a commemorative photo, or have a great time feeding the bear. It is full of information and souvenirs about bears, so give them as gifts to your loved ones.
4. Shinhotaka Ropeway
If you take the cable car at an altitude of over 3,000m and go up to the observatory, you can overlook the Okuhida Onsen Village area and Kamikochi Valley at a glance.
