BESTIt was so nice to be able to travel comfortably without worrying about driving. The expansive view from the Mount Fuji Observatory was impressive, and the photo zones at every stop along the way made for great photo opportunities. The Hakushu Distillery was particularly well-maintained, and although the guided tour was in Japanese, it was largely focused on visual aids and tastings, making it easy to navigate. The experience of enjoying a glass of whiskey in a forest-like setting was truly special.
Whiskey lovers, get ready for an exciting day at the Suntory Hakushu Distillery. At the tasting lounge, you can choose and sample 3 of your favorite Suntory whiskeys from about 25 varieties, and discover Hakushu brands as well as limited edition lineups. Since payment is made on-site, you can have fun creating your own combinations.
At the lounge, you can slowly savor representative lineups such as Hakushu 12 Year and Yamazaki, comparing their aromas and aftertastes. At the museum exhibition space, you can explore the history and production process of whiskey with models and materials, adding the fun of learning to the pleasure of drinking.
At the gift shop, you also have the chance to purchase Hakushu Distillery-limited whiskey, up to 1 bottle per person. Stock is fluid and may vary depending on the day's situation, but if the timing is right, you can grab a bottle that's perfect as a souvenir of your trip.
The tour doesn't end with whiskey. Follow the Fujisubaru Line up to Mt. Fuji 5th Station (approximately 2,300m above sea level), face the magnificent scenery from the highest observation point accessible by road, and stop by Kawaguchiko photo spots to fully experience the emotion given by nature. The deep aroma of whiskey and the clear air of Mt. Fuji combine to make the day even more special.

Oishi Park, Best View of Mt. Fuji from Kawaguchiko

This tour is a course that captures Mt. Fuji from two perspectives. At the 5th station, you can feel the magnificence up close, and at Oishi Park, you can take pictures of the entire view of Mt. Fuji spreading out beyond Lake Kawaguchiko.
It's a great place to take a light stroll along the lakeside promenade and take pictures, and the seasonal flowers blend in to make the Mt. Fuji background even prettier. There are also souvenir shops and simple snacks, so it's a good place to take a short break.
Limited to April to May, Fuji Shibazakura Festival
