Gujo Hachiman

Hida Takayama
In Hida Takayama, you can see the traditional streets where the Edo period is well preserved. Take a trip back in time as you browse the exquisite handicraft stores and old-fashioned candy stores! World Heritage Site, Shirakawa-go
Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a special village where you can get a glimpse of Japan's traditional life and architectural beauty. Here, you can see a collection of unique architectural style Gassho-zukuri houses. This 'Gassho-zukuri' has a roof shape that resembles hands clasped in prayer, and is a unique design method for areas with heavy snowfall.
