The Setouchi International Triennale is a contemporary art festival held once every three years on the Setouchi Islands. It began in 2010 and is held over a period of approximately 100 days, divided into three seasons: spring, summer, and fall. It is an international event that attracts approximately 1 million visitors, allowing visitors to experience the different charms of Setouchi each season.

The Setouchi International Triennale is an art festival with a total of 254 works created by 216 artists. How to exchange your pass & routes

How to use the ticket machine:
1. Please prepare your passport and mobile voucher.
2. Please select a language from the top menu of the ticket machine. (Supports English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese)
3. Select “Recieve reserved ticket”
4. Select “EXCHANGE ORDER (E-TICKET)”
5. Scan the mobile voucher QR code at the exact location or enter the Exchange Order No. written on the E-ticket.
6. Select the pass start date. (You can select up to 1 month in the future)
7. Click Agree to the information on pass receipt qualifications and personal information. (Total 2 questions)
8. Please scan your e-passport at the correct location . (If it is not an e-passport, you cannot scan it and must collect it in person.)
9. On the confirmation page, check the product and collect your rail pass.

How to reserve a reserved seat

For lines that operate with non-reserved seats, you can freely insert your ticket into the gate and sit down, but please note that some trains only operate with reserved seats, and reserved seats require separate exchange. There is no limit to the number of times you can exchange for reserved seats, but after the 7th time, you cannot make a reservation at the ticket machine, so you must visit the staffed window (Midori-no-madoguchi). 1. Click on the ticket at the green ticket machine
2. Insert your JR Pass into the space that says Commuter Pass.
3. After activating the reserved seat button, touch the button.
4. Touch to reserve a reserved seat using a return ticket
5. Reserve a seat for your desired section
