La durée de la journée est de 5,5 ou 9,5. Comme nous voulions voir également le domaine de Marie-Antoinette, nous avons choisi l’option de la journée complète, soit 9,5. Malgré le fait qu’il y a beaucoup à voir, la fatigue s’installe et l’option 9,5 a été trop long pour nous. Une heure de moins aurait été préférable pour nous. N.B. Sur place, il y a la possibilité de louer une voiturette à 45 euros/hr. Penser à apporter votre permis de conduire pour pouvoir en bénéficier.

The tour of Versailles was a great way to experience this iconic palace in a relatively stress-free way. After meeting at the pickup point, our guide led us on a short walk to the bus and kept us informed about what to expect throughout the journey. He also explained how to use the audio guide app. Once at Versailles, our guide efficiently led us through the “skip-the-line” security check, which moved reasonably quickly. Unfortunately, we had difficulty navigating and syncing the audio guide with the rooms we were visiting. This may have been a user issue, but we found the map confusing and eventually gave up. Fortunately, it worked well in the Hall of Mirrors and provided lots of interesting information. We also explored the gardens, although the heat limited how much we could see. I would recommend taking the “train” if you want to visit the Grotte de Marie-Antoinette, as it’s quite a walk even on a pleasant day. Overall, enjoyable tour.l, but the audio guid could be improved.
