Big Almaty Lake & Alma Arasan Hot Springs Tour (Private Vehicle / Monday Hike)

Travel comfortably to Big Almaty Lake

Depart from Almaty at 9:00 AM and head to Big Almaty Lake by vehicle. After a short 300m walk from the checkpoint, you'll switch vehicles for the final ascent to the lake. Upon arrival at Big Almaty Lake, nestled amidst towering mountain peaks, enjoy approximately 1 hour of free time to soak in the scenery and capture photos. The mountain landscape offers a different atmosphere with each season and weather condition.


Relax at the natural hot springs of Alma Arasan

After visiting the lake, you'll proceed to the Alma-Arasan Gorge. A pleasant 20-minute walk along the mountain river and through the forest leads you to the natural hot springs. Metal walkways and stairs are available in some sections.

You'll have about 30 minutes of free time at the hot springs. Relax and enjoy the views of nature surrounded by mountains from the warm outdoor pool or the cool pool. This is a simple, natural outdoor hot spring, not a luxurious spa facility.


Embark on a 14km hike on Mondays

For a more active experience, choose the Monday-exclusive hiking option. This approximately 14km trek follows mountain trails up to Big Almaty Lake at an altitude of about 2,511m. You'll spend about 2 hours at the lake, enjoying the surrounding scenery.

This challenging course is recommended for travelers with hiking experience. Trekking poles and raincoats are provided; please bring your own hiking boots.
