Begin your day with a departure from Melbourne, heading towards the Surf Coast (Surf Coast) near Torquay. Enjoy morning tea by the beach before visiting the iconic Memorial Arch (Memorial Arch at Eastern View), a symbol of the Great Ocean Road. Hear from your guide about the history of the Great Ocean Road, constructed by returning soldiers after World War I, and the region's surfing culture.

As you drive along the coast, winding between the ocean and eucalyptus forests, look for wild koalas and native birds resting in the trees. Stop in the seaside town of Apollo Bay (Apollo Bay) for free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure.

In the afternoon, experience a change of scenery as you enter Great Otway National Park (Great Otway National Park). Take a guided walk along the trails at Maits Rest, getting up close to the lush temperate rainforest created by towering trees and giant ferns.

Encounter the Shipwreck Coast's Splendor at the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge

Beyond the Otways, you'll travel to the Shipwreck Coast (Shipwreck Coast), famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs. At the Twelve Apostles (Twelve Apostles) viewpoint, the highlight of the Great Ocean Road, admire the limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean and the spectacular coastal landscape.

Next, visit Loch Ard Gorge (Loch Ard Gorge) and explore the cliffs and gorges. Your guide will share the story of the Loch Ard shipwreck in 1878 and its survivors, allowing you to appreciate not only the beautiful scenery but also the history of the Shipwreck Coast.

If time and local conditions permit, you may stop at additional viewpoints such as Gibson Steps (Gibson Steps). Afterwards, travel inland for a brief dinner break in Colac before returning to Melbourne.
