From Melbourne: Great Ocean Road Boutique Minibus Reverse Tour

Take the reverse route
and see the 12 Apostles first

Pickup is around 7:30 AM from your chosen meeting point or city hotel. Leave Melbourne around 8:00 AM and travel inland toward the western end of the Great Ocean Road, with a 15-minute break in Colac around 10:00 AM.

Arrive at the 12 Apostles, limestone stacks rising from the sea beside Port Campbell National Park, around 11:15 AM and spend about 90 minutes there. Walk to the main lookouts, then continue to Gibson Steps for another view of the cliffs and rugged coastline.

Hear shipwreck stories at Loch Ard Gorge

Spend about 30 minutes at Loch Ard Gorge, a cove shaped by waves and cliffs. Enjoy the coastal scenery and hear the story of the 1878 Loch Ard shipwreck that gave the gorge its name.

Take a lunch break at the wildlife park

Stop at the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park for a 1-hour break including lunch. Have lunch at your own pace or enter the park to meet native Australian wildlife. Park admission and meals are at your own expense.

Pass Apollo Bay and the Memorial Arch
on the way back to Melbourne

Around 3:40 PM, take a 15-minute break in Apollo Bay, a seaside town between the Otway Ranges and the sea, then drive east along the coastal stretch. Around 5:10 PM, stop for 10 minutes of photos at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, which honors the returned servicemen who built the road. On the winter schedule, you arrive back in Melbourne CBD around 7:20 PM.
