Mind Games: Art Alive! in Chippendale, Sydney is an independent, Australian-owned and operated immersive art and illusion museum. Across 11 rooms on two levels and more than 85 interactive exhibits, experience science-based illusions and gallery-quality installations first-hand. The space is full of great photo spots, such as the Hologram Moon Room with a 3D moon floating in light, the upside-down pink train of the Levitation Station, and a mirror maze. As the experience is entirely indoors, it is a great stop for families, couples and friends in any weather.

Experience immersive art and illusions
across 11 rooms

Enter on your selected date and session and freely explore more than 85 interactive exhibits in 11 rooms over two levels. Works by 17 artists are on display, including a First Nations textile artist and an artist with Burning Man experience, and the textile installations evolve over time. A typical visit lasts 60 to 90 minutes at your own pace.

Meet the Hologram Moon Room and the Levitation Station

Signature exhibits include the Hologram Moon Room, where light and color create the illusion of a floating 3D moon, and the Levitation Station, an upside-down pink train that defies gravity and common sense. Lose your sense of direction in the mirror maze, and enjoy photo-friendly spaces throughout.

Find hidden QR codes and crack the secret word

Find the QR codes hidden along the way and decode the secret word to receive a surprise gift. You can also discover how movie illusions and visual tricks actually work.
