From Sydney: Blue Mountains Active Hiking Tour

An active Blue Mountains hike
on foot, with no rides

Depart Sydney and arrive in the Blue Mountains after about 1.5 hours. Designed for fit and confident walkers, the tour includes steep stairs, rainforest scenery and an uphill return. Scenic World rides are not used, and no ride tickets are needed.

View the Three Sisters from Echo Point

First, admire the iconic Three Sisters and sweeping Jamison Valley views from Echo Point Lookout. Your guide then explains the walking route and how to return, and walks with you to the Giant Stairway handover point. Before setting off, you will receive a Blue Wander trail kit with water and Australian snacks.

Descend the Giant Stairway and walk through the rainforest

The Blue Wander Valley Hike is self-guided and takes about 3 hours. Descend the Giant Stairway, follow the Federal Pass to the valley floor area below Scenic World, then retrace your steps and climb the Giant Stairway back to Echo Point. The guide does not accompany the valley hike, and this route does not use the Furber Steps.

Hiking times may vary depending on the day's schedule. Follow the meeting point and return time given by your guide, and allow plenty of time for the climb back up.

Rejoin the group to explore Katoomba Falls and Leura

After the hike, rejoin the group at Echo Point and visit Katoomba Falls and Cahill's Lookout overlooking the Megalong Valley. Finally, browse local shops and enjoy lunch at your leisure in Leura (at your own expense) before returning to Sydney. You may share transport with other guests who use the Scenic World rides.
