to Phillip Island
Board the purple Explore Australia bus at your chosen pickup point in central Melbourne and head to Phillip Island in a small group. You'll travel in an air-conditioned vehicle while your local guide shares stories and useful information about each stop throughout the day.
The tour is conducted in English. Download the free Explore Australia app to access pre-recorded audio and text commentary in 16 languages, including Korean and Japanese; your guide will provide the unlock code on the day.
Meet Australian wildlife at Moonlit Sanctuary

Your first stop is Moonlit Sanctuary, set in natural bushland. Spend about 2 hours observing native animals such as koalas, kangaroos and wallabies up close, and learn about the conservation work carried out here. Wallaby feeding is not included.
Take in Phillip Island's coastal scenery

On Phillip Island, stroll along the Nobbies boardwalk and enjoy sweeping views of the Southern Ocean. Keep an eye out for seals and seabirds along the rugged coastline.
In summer, stop at Cape Woolamai with its dramatic cliffs and crashing waves, and, time permitting, relax in the seaside town of Cowes with a coffee or a short stroll.
Watch the Penguin Parade at sunset

The highlight of the day is the Penguin Parade at dusk. For about 1.5 hours, watch hundreds of little penguins emerge from the sea and cross the beach to their burrows. An option including the Penguins Plus viewing upgrade is also available.
After the parade, return to Melbourne by bus. Return time is between 9:00 PM and midnight depending on the season.
※ Wildlife lives in its natural habitat, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
※ Cape Woolamai is visited in summer only, and Cowes only when time permits.
※ The tour runs in all weather, and the itinerary may change depending on local conditions.
