Founded in 1958 and named after General Sir John Monash, Monash University is known for its focus on innovation, research and global engagement. On this 1.5-hour student-led walking tour, you'll explore the key spots of the Clayton campus. Tours run in the morning (10:00–11:30) or afternoon (14:00–15:30).

Explore Robert Blackwood Hall and the Campus Centre

The tour begins at Robert Blackwood Hall, a landmark venue for concerts and events. Then stroll through the Campus Centre, the lively hub of student clubs, dining and social life.

Visit the library and the engineering and medical faculties

Visit the Sir Louis Matheson Library, with over 3 million items and collaborative learning spaces. Walk past the internationally recognised Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and learn about Monash's contributions to global challenges, from pioneering IVF research to sustainability initiatives.

Learn about student life in a Q&A with students

Your student guide will share stories about Monash's diverse international community representing more than 170 countries, and traditions such as student theatre performances, Orientation Week festivities and cultural clubs. After the walking tour, enjoy a 30-minute interactive Q&A with current students at a campus café. Afterwards, you can stroll the lakeside path, have lunch at the Campus Centre, or explore nearby Glen Waverley and Melbourne's city centre.
