Cairns Aquarium showcases the aquatic life of the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics rainforest, two World Heritage areas of Tropical North Queensland. Follow 10 ecosystems from the rainforest to the reef and discover 71 exhibits featuring the region's rare and unique species.

Opening hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with last entry at 2:30 PM. The ticket is valid for one day on the selected date.

Meet marine life in the underwater tunnel and reef tank

In the 360-degree Oceanarium with its 20 m underwater viewing tunnel, watch marine life swim above and around you. The 10 m deep reef tank reveals an underwater world of colorful coral and fish.

Observe tropical freshwater life at River Monsters

At the large freshwater exhibit "River Monsters", observe the freshwater creatures of flooded billabongs and tropical rivers. Your ticket also includes the "Monsters of the Flooded Billabong" presentation.

Enjoy daily talks and animal feedings

Listen to daily habitat talks and presentations by the aquarium's educators. Your ticket includes the "Life of Coral Sea Sharks and Rays" presentation, the "Open Ocean Curious & Coloured" talk and the "Ribbon Reef Deep Sea Creatures" story.

Watch animal feeding sessions and get hands-on at the marine life and reptile touch tanks. After your visit, you can dine at the Aqualuna restaurant inside the aquarium (at extra cost).
