Gav was a brilliant guide, our day consisted of being picked up, going round a brilliant wildlife habitat that included feeding wallabies then walking in the rainforest, visiting cape tribulation, having lunch of chicken thighs with choices of fish or steak or a vegan option too, an option to swim in a freshwater hole, daintree icecream of 4 flavours including wattle seed! an hour on the river showing us crocs and we were lucky enough to see two baby crocs! and a drive back with lots of stories it was a brilliant day :)

We had an amazing time on the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation tour. PJ was absolutely outstanding — incredibly knowledgeable, organised, and fun. Even with the rain, it ended up being the best tour we did in Cairns. The kids loved every moment. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful day out in the rainforest, on the river spotting crocs and loved seeing all the birds and other animals in the wildlife park. Our guide PJ was superb - full of knowledge about local history and the plants and trees growing in the Daintree. He really made the effort to make our day extra special and ensure that we got to see as much as possible in a short time. Take your swimwear - there's a chance to have a refreshing dip in a freshwater creek!

Meet tropical north wildlife
at Wildlife Habitat

After pickup from designated accommodation in Cairns, Palm Cove, or Port Douglas, head north. Stop at Wildlife Habitat for a guided tour of five habitats, including savannah, rainforest, wetlands, nocturnal, and grasslands, and meet the animals of tropical North Queensland.

Cross the Daintree River by vehicle ferry into the rainforest

Board a cable-driven vehicle ferry across the Daintree River and enter the rainforest. On a guided rainforest walk, discover fan palms, strangler figs, and lush vines along crystal-clear creeks. Enjoy a tropical lunch at the Cape Tribulation resort, deep in the rainforest.

Visit Cape Tribulation Beach and Alexandra Lookout

At Cape Tribulation, enjoy the white sand beach and turquoise tropical sea, then visit Alexandra Lookout for views of the Daintree River mouth and the Coral Sea. You can also taste Daintree ice cream along the way.

End the day with a Daintree River cruise

Cruise the crocodile-inhabited Daintree River between mangroves and dense rainforest, enjoy afternoon tea, and head back toward Cairns. The tour lasts about 13 hours, including about 3 hours by bus from Cairns to Cape Tribulation with a rest stop along the way.
