Program
Head to the Daintree Rainforest
in a 4WD vehicle
After pickup from your accommodation in a 4WD vehicle, travel north along the Captain Cook Highway. An environmentally minded driver-guide accompanies you all day and introduces the local flora and fauna.
Look for crocodiles on a Daintree River cruise
Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits at the Daintree Cruise Centre, then explore the Daintree River on a 1-hour guided cruise. You may spot wild estuarine crocodiles, from hatchlings to huge 4-meter adults, and learn about the birds and wildlife of the area.
Walk the rainforest and swim in fresh water
Take a guided walk along a Daintree Rainforest boardwalk to see the national park up close, spotting 900-year-old ancient palms and local wildlife. After lunch, cool off with a refreshing freshwater swim in the heart of the rainforest.
Enjoy Cape Tribulation beach and
Daintree ice cream
Stroll along Cape Tribulation Beach and take in the views. If you like, follow a short walking track up to the beach lookout.
Then stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company to taste handmade ice cream made from tropical fruits. A signature cup is included. After crossing the river again by cable ferry, return to your accommodation in Port Douglas or Cairns.
