Cairns Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge Tour - Lunch Included

Drive along the coast
to Mossman Gorge

After pickup from your Cairns accommodation, head north along the coastal road to Port Douglas, taking in sweeping views of the Coral Sea along the way.

Your first stop is Mossman Gorge in the southern part of Daintree National Park. Carved by the Mossman River, the gorge is filled with huge granite boulders surrounded by lush rainforest. Take part in a traditional welcome and smoking ceremony led by the Kuku Yalanji people, walk through the rainforest or cool off with a swim in the creek (approx. 2 hours).

Look for wildlife on a Daintree River cruise

Continue north and board a Daintree River wildlife cruise (approx. 1 hour). Keep an eye out for crocodiles and other native wildlife while your guide shares interesting facts about this unique habitat. During the tour, you also cross the Daintree River by ferry.

Enjoy lunch and a rainforest walk at Cape Tribulation

Stop at a lookout to photograph the panoramic view (approx. 15 minutes), then head to Cape Tribulation. After lunch, take a short guided walk through towering rainforest, mangrove ecosystems and dense bushland, and see the coast where two World Heritage areas, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, meet.

Stop for ice cream and return to Cairns

On the way back, stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Co. to taste locally made ice cream (at your own expense). Then sit back and enjoy the scenery on the drive back to your accommodation.
