Head to the rainforest coast
in a small-group vehicle
After pickup from your accommodation in Cairns, the Northern Beaches or Port Douglas, travel in an air-conditioned Mercedes Sprinter with a small group of up to 14 guests. Depending on your departure point, enjoy the coastal scenery along the Great Barrier Reef Drive or stop at Flagstaff Hill Lookout in Port Douglas overlooking Four Mile Beach (approx. 15 minutes). Then take in the sweeping Coral Sea views from Rex Lookout.
Live commentary is in English, and an audio guide is available in French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and German via a mobile app.
Enjoy morning tea and a swim at Mossman Gorge
On arrival at Mossman Gorge, relax with morning tea of pastries such as scones with tea or coffee. Then take a guided walk through the ancient rainforest and, if you like, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Mossman River (approx. 1.5 hours).
Board a Daintree River cruise after a restaurant lunch
For lunch at a restaurant, choose from barramundi, chicken, steak, kangaroo or a vegetarian option. After lunch, take a 1-hour Daintree River cruise to look for crocodiles and native wildlife in their natural habitat.
Cross the river by cable ferry
and continue to Cape Tribulation
Cross the Daintree River by cable ferry into the rainforest. Admire views of the river, its delta and the Coral Sea from Alexandra Lookout, then join a guided botanical walk beneath the rainforest canopy. Continue to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef, and take in the views from Kulki Lookout and the beach (approx. 30 minutes).
On the way back, taste seasonal tropical fruit and stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company, where you can buy tropical fruit ice cream (at your own expense). You return to your drop-off point in the late afternoon.
