Cairns Kuranda Rainforest Full-Day Tour - Lunch Included

Ride the Kuranda Scenic Railway
up to Kuranda in the rainforest

After pickup from your accommodation, board the Kuranda Scenic Railway and travel through mountains and rainforest to Kuranda village. On arrival, explore the flight aviary at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, home to around 1,500 tropical butterflies including the brilliant green Cairns Birdwing.

Enjoy lunch and ride the Army Duck

Take a shuttle to Rainforestation Nature Park and enjoy a barbecue buffet lunch. After lunch, board the Army Duck, a 6-wheel amphibious vehicle that drives on land and water, to tour the rainforest, learn about the surrounding plants and trees and look out for wildlife. Then taste exotic fruits and locally made ice cream at the Tropical Treats orchard.

Experience Aboriginal culture and meet Australian animals

At the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, watch a spear-throwing demonstration and traditional dances, try throwing a boomerang and hear all about the didgeridoo.

At the Koala and Wildlife Park, get up close to Australian animals including koalas, dingoes, the endangered cassowary and Lumholtz tree-kangaroo, as well as wombats, crocodiles, lizards and birds. You can also hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies.

Return to Cairns on the Skyrail

Finally, ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway over the rainforest canopy back down to Cairns. At the end of the tour, you are taken back to your accommodation.
